Prosecco and Eclairs for Thought.

What better way to re-ignite my enthusiasm for blogging than an afternoon of cakes and bubbles with my fellow UK style bloggers. For months I’ve been thinking how If only I could meet some like minded obsessives this would all make a bit more sense. The solo nature of this pursuit can make it a tad bewildering at times so I was thrilled to get invited to The IFB; thats the Indepepndent Fashion Bloggers in case there are any non bloggers reading , event yesterday. I gave myself ample time to get there but ended up doing manic darts in both directions moments before it was due to start. It’s a compulsion by now and one that a mere noting of the full address would eliminate. Noted again.

I was escorted up the stairs to the the suitably grand function room  at the Swarovski store. The excitable girlish chatter that greeted me set the tone for the afternoon. How nice to be greeted by a room full of smiling fabulous ladies and a photographer eager to take my picture.  Oh sure go on then. Armed with a glass of bubbly and more than my fair share of the sweet buffet I began introducing myself to my peers. It was pleasing to see the guests arrive by themselves and then merge effortlessly into the group. Hats were optional but cameras were not it seemed.

After sufficient mingling and munching there was a panel discussion featuring the top dogs in fashion blog land. Style Bubble, Bloglovin‘ and Signature 99 were represented and a lively and informative hour was passed as the experts shared their wisdom, feelings and experiences with us.

Needless to say there was some serious style in the room. I noticed some particularly striking leg wear and some gorgeous and unusual colour blocking combos.

I left before the winner of the hat competition was announced but my money was on Ceri from Style Eyes Ethical Fashion Blog who wore a striking leather swallow fascinator.

Ladies it was it was a pleasure!
